WSOP 2021: Shuchi Chamaria Exits Event #68 For $5,488

The last Indian player in the World Series of Poker 2021 (WSOP) Event #68: $1,111 Little One For One Drop, Shuchi Chamaria busted in the 73rd spot for $5,488. Chamaria along with Kunal Patni were the only two Indians on Day 3 of Event #68.

There were over 200 players that survived Day 3. With Patni and Chamaria making the cut, hopes were high for these two players to bring home a WSOP bracelet for India. However, despite a spectacular performance, Patni’s journey was cut short when he busted in the 135th position for $3,685.

Towards the end of Day 3, Chamaria was among the final 85 players in the game. However, the journey for this Indian player ended soon after she busted in the 73rd position. While Chamaria may not have won a WSOP bracelet, her deep run in the competition is a commendable feat.

Neel Joshi was also grinding in Event #68 but exited the game before Day 2 ended. Busting in the 326th position, Joshi ended up finishing in the money and took home $2,224 for his efforts. Currently, the $1,111 buy-in event is in progress with only 26 players remaining.

Day 4 of the Main Event is also currently running with only one Indian—Abhinav Iyer left in the game. However, as long as there is an Indian grinding in WSOP, the Indian poker community will continue to hope for the coveted WSOP bracelet to come home.
