WPT Prime Taiwan 2023: Pradeep Sharma Shipped Two Events To End Series On A High Note


World Poker Tour (WPT) Taiwan 2023 turned out pretty well for India as Pradeep Sharma shipped two tournaments to end the series on a high note. The poker player who was heading for WPT Prime Taiwan for the very first time, made quite the splash with his gameplay. He stifled competition to take down two events, namely, Event 22: Accumulator and Event 44, Closer Megastack. Sharma took home collective earnings of TWD 13,00,200 (approx. ₹3,379,149). 

Event 22: Accumulator

Sharma was among the 299 entries who battled it out for the top prize. Even if the Indian player was new to the felts of WPT Taiwan, he did not let that get in the way and smashed the felts with his impeccable play. He took home a pay cheque of  TWD 637,200 (approx. ₹1,656,165). The total prize pool in this event was TWD 2,900,300 (approx. ₹7,538,259) and the top 38 players got a piece of this final prize pool.

Event 44 Closer Megastack

Here, Sharma beat Gene Chan to claim the top prize and trophy. The Indian poker player added  TWD 600,000 (approx.₹1,559,597) to his bankroll for this first place finish. The event had a final prize pool of TWD 2,604,500  (approx. ₹6,769,696) thanks to the 179 player field.
