WPT Prime Cambodia 2022: Zarvan Tumboli Bags Another PLO Title

The ongoing season of World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Cambodia 2022 seems to be a fabulous one for the Indians. With two titles already coming home, Spartan Poker pro has now increased the tally to three by shipping the PLO event at the series.

This is the fourth international title for Tumboli this year and a second PLO one. He has previously shipped the WPT Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event, Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hyper Deep Stack Turbo event, and APT Hanoi Pot Limit Omaha Event

The final two at this event struck an independent chip model (ICM) deal during the heads-up. While Tumboli held a hefty chip lead with 1.6 million chips Tunisia’s Selim Souissi had just 400K. Tumboli shared that he agreed to the deal only on the condition that he would keep the trophy and title. If not, the two would play until the winner was decided. The opponent obliged and Tumboli lifted his second PLO trophy. The Parsi boy also added $7,000 to his bankroll from this win.

We reached out to the Mumbai-based player to know what his victory felt like, to which he said, “This is my third heads-up in the last three PLO tournaments I have played in Asia. From the three, I have won two, so I am super happy.”

The event has a total 94 entries battling it out for the title. The $300 buy-in event had a prize pool of $ 24,619 which was shared by the top 12 places for a min-cash of $616. Apart from Tumboli India’s Ankit Jajodia also made in the money at this event. Jajodia finished 11th for $665.
