Will The Next IPC Be Held In Vietnam?

Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli is currently grinding at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Summer Festival Hanoi 2022 at Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP) in Vietnam. He was one of the top stacks among the 45 survivors on Day 2 of the most anticipated Championships Event.

The event has already generated a massive VND 7 Billion and is expected to increase as the late registrations are expected to stay open till the first three levels of Day 3. There are currently several Indians in the grind and Tumboli is leading the Indian contingent at the event.

The Mumbai-based pro shared an Instagram story wherein several Indians are seen grinding on the same table. India Poker Championship (IPC) Megastacks May 2022 100K Highroller winner Alok Birewar, Ashish Munot, Kanchan Sharma and Ankit Wadhawan were seen grinding on the same table as Tumboli. The presence of the fellow countrymen made the Tumboli feel like a home game. Thus he captioned it saying ‘Feels like IPC.”

He further mentioned, “Last two levels for the day. Been playing some good poker throughout. Let’s close the day well!” (sic). A few days ago, Tumboli also posted an Instagram story wherein the Indian players could be heard conversing in Hindi at the poker table. It certainly looks like the Indian contingent is enjoying a homely series on the land of Vietnam.

Tumboli has been enjoying a great poker run in Vietnam lately. He first shipped the WPT Prime Vietnam 2022 Main Event in May 2022. Later he shipped the APT Deep Stack Hyper Turbo, and APT Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) title within 24 hours in June.

Other players include Laksh Pal Singh, IPC Megastacks May 2022 Main Event winner Siddhanth Kripalani, Anuj Yadav, Ritwik Khanna, Jasven Saigal, Ankit Jajodia, Siddharth Singhvi, Shardul Parthasarathi, Deepak Bothra, Rubin Labroo, and Sajal Gupta are also currently in Vietnam to grind in the series. We hope to see Tumboli and all the other Indian players clinch top titles at the ongoing APT VSOP 2022 series.

IPC in Vietnam?

About IPC being hosted in Vietnam, we are yet to receive a confirmation about the venue and dates of the next IPC edition. After several successful editions in Goa, the series chose an off-beat destination in Jhapa, Nepal. Hence, it won’t be surprising if the organisers select Vietnam as the next destination for IPC.
