WATCH: Fedor Holz Brutally Cracks Paul Phua’s Aces At Triton

The ongoing Triton Poker Series North Cyprus 2023 is full of action and drama. The $100 NLH Main Event (ME) saw a bold move during an attention-grabbing hand between Paul Phua and Fedor Holz. At Level 5K/10K, ante 10K, Phua raised 20K when the pot size was 594,000 when Holz decided to take the all-in route. Phua matches the bet with his remaining tournament life (294,000) with pocket aces.

Having the best possible cards to start off with, Puha  was quite confident while the dealer was about to fan out the community cards. The German pro Holz, on the other hand, had Snowmen by his side to survive if the board blessed him. He had a minuscule 19% probability of winning the hand pre flop. Both the players opened their cards on the table, awaiting the board.

How things panned out between Phua and Holz

All eyes were on the board, with probabilities favouring Phua ahead of the flop. The dealer opened up a Jack of clubs alongside a Ten of spades and seven of hearts as things started to head towards the German player’s way. While the odds marginally changed, making a 5% move in Holz’s favour, his outs saw the Pokercode founder in need of nines or eights.

With a potential straight or quads, the only way Fedor could win, the turn card brought just the card he needed—a nine of spade! This card meant it was game over for Phua, who was seen having the last sip of his beverage and removing his mic to get up and leave.
