Tuesday Round Up: IOPC Stars Vishal Bajaj & Piyush Jain Clinch Titles On PokerBaazi & Spartan Poker


Tuesday tournaments on Spartan Poker and PokerBaazi were shipped by pros like Vishal Bajaj and Piyush Jain. A common factor between these pros is that they played some top-notch game during the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021. These are just the highlights. Keep reading to know more about the action that went down on these poker sites last night.

Mega Stack – ₹16.50 Lakh GTD

This tournament on Spartan Poker had 591 entries in total. The top 55 players were paid a min-cash of ₹8,687. Vishal Bajaj aka ‘CrownUpJr’ shipped this event, and took home ₹3,43,962 in prize money. Bajaj, who was the IOPC United chip leader, clinched the winning title after firing two bullets.

The runner-up was IOPC Blaze of Glory winner Harshad Barve aka ‘Omglukbox.’ Barve added ₹2,18,079 to his bankroll. The advertised guarantee of this ₹3,300 buy-in event was surpassed. The final prize pool stood at ₹17,73,000.

Other grinders who made it in the money in this event were poker pro Sumit Sapra after firing two bullets (4th, ₹1,27,478), Aman Parakh (5th, ₹1,00,883), Bharat Vasan (6th, ₹77,657), Nitesh Katiyar (11th, ₹28,013), Ratul Steves (12th, ₹24,290), Alok Birewar fired two bullets (24th, ₹14,006), Aditya Singh (31st ₹12,233), poker pro Aditya Agarwal (32nd, ₹10,460) among others.

The Race – ₹6.75 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Race was a ₹1,650 buy-in tournament. This event had 385 entries, and a mystery player who goes by the moniker ‘TipsyGypsey’ clinched the winning title. The top 31 players made it in the money. The min-cash paid was ₹5,940. The bubble boy in this tournament was Shashank Desai aka ‘reconnecting.’

Grinders who made it in the money in the Race tournament were Myron Pereira (3rd, ₹67,770), Bharat Vasan (6th, ₹33,470), Gutshot January e-magazine cover star Guarav Sood (15th, ₹9,990), Arjanveer Chadha (24th, ₹6,615) among others.

The Endeavour – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The ₹3,850 buy-in tournament is a PokerBaazi staple that takes place every week. The advertised guarantee of this event was surpassed, and the final prize pool stood at ₹13,55,000. This event was nailed by Piyush Jain aka ‘aero,’ who received a pay cheque of ₹2,84,000. The tournament had 387 entries, and 45 players made it in the money. The min-cash paid was ₹7,585. Jain nailed the IOPC United tournament cashed ₹20,72,882 in prize money. 

Notable grinders who made it in the money were Ritwik Khanna (5th, ₹71,110), online reg Siddhanth Kripalani (6th, ₹56,890), Jasven Saigal (8th, ₹37,930), IOPC veteran Arjanveer Singh Chadha (10th, ₹20,720), Kritagya Sharma (12th, ₹20,720) among others.
