The esports industry has been growing by leaps and bounds in the country. Not only are millions of dollars spent on tournaments, streaming esports tournaments has also come to the fore in this digitally driven world. Just like Twitch, there are a bunch of esports streaming platforms that have brought some of the best live esports tournaments to the screens. Esports streaming platforms Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Steam TV etc. are some of the well-known streaming platforms. Let’s take a look.

TWITCH

Twitch is an American video live streaming platform, owned by Amazon that launched in 2011. It has been a point of reference for other streaming operators in the industry. This is one of the most revolutionized streaming platforms and it continues to be on top of its game. Viewers can watch streams of games like League of Legends, Fortnite, Counter strike global offensive, Dota 2, Apex Legends among others. Twitch covers all the popular games across the globe.

YOUTUBE

YouTube Gaming has a dedicated space in which players get to share their gameplay in a live format. Fortnite streams on YouTube which hits 9 million views each month. YouTube is the perfect destination for viewers who are looking for crucial streams such as the world leagues of Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, etc.

FACEBOOK GAMING

CAFFEINE

This is social streaming and broadcasting platform is led by two former Apple designers. Caffeine, launched in 2018 and is probably the newest in the market. One of the special features of this platform is that it does not require broadcast software.

STEAM TV

This medium helps viewers to communicate with the content creators. The chat option on Steam TV has a good chat integration option which allows viewers to interact with creators and also includes a voice chat option for private groups. This interaction friendly platform has only covered Dota 2 International.

CABLE TV

Just like streaming platforms, even television channels are no lesser when it comes to broadcasting esports competitions. Channels such as ESPN, BBC, TBS etc have taken the initiative to enter the esports market and have also succeeded. Here are a few examples of such channels. 

Turner Broadcasting System (TBS)

TBS is an American low-risk bet, which is a broadcasting and media house. This channel started streaming esports on TV with the ELeague tournament as the first one and then went onto stream games like Street Fighter V, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Overwatch, etc.
