Talal Shakerchi Wins Triton Poker Vietnam 2023 Main Event

The Main Event of the Triton Poker Vietnam 2023 has finally found a champion in Talal Shakerchi. The British player clinched his first-ever Triton Poker title by taking down the 100K NLH Main Event. He beat Malaysian player Michael Soyza in the heads-up and pocketed a handsome $3,250,000. 

Soyza took home $2,207,000 for his runner-up finish. The event had 135 players who battled it out to make it to the top. The prize pool of $13,500,000 was shared by the top 20 players, who grabbed a min-cash of $175,000. Some of the notable names who cashed at this event include Sam Greenwood, Erik Seidel, Bryn Kenney, Sam Grafton, Wiktor Malinowski. Talal Shakerchi is a London-based British investment manager and poker player. The 59-year old has $12,510,453 in live tournament earnings including 16 cashes at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), accounting to $1,155,730. The Meditor Capital Management Limited founder and CEO recorded the best cash of his career after taking down the Triton Poker Vietnam 2023 Main Event. He also has a couple of European Poker Tour (EPT) titles to his name. Shakerchi ranks 129th on Hendon Mob’s All Time Money List and sixth on England’s All Time Money List.
