India’s biggest online festival, always touching the sky with its guarantees and jaw dropping tournament, INR 25 Cr GTD IOPC concluded last night. And the highlighting event of the day was none other than INR 3 Cr GTD IOPC Main Event. Apart from that other tourneys on Adda52, PokerStars India and PokerBaazi also performed well. To begin the week the right way, what more could anyone ask for?! The BIGGEST online poker tournament in the country – the 2020 July IOPC INR 25 Crore GTD has concluded in a grand manner on Spartan Poker. It took six days and eight starting flights for the luxurious crown to discover its ultimate owner in INR 3 Crore GTD IOPC #120 Main Event. A total of 4,081 runners participated in these few days producing a whopping INR 4.08 Crore prize pool. Ultimately, it was Day 1A chip leader Harshit Sanghi aka ‘HeroCaller’ who wished to stay anonymous that day, powered through the field last night, climbing up to the top to clinch to the prestigious title along with a life-changing INR 47+ Lakhs in first prize! Sanghi outlasted Kunal Bhatia aka ‘Alex52’ in heads-up who also bagged a 7-digit score. Sumit Sapra aka ‘Sands Myth’ finished third.
The 18-day program also put an end to the IOPC Destiny Edition INR 5 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker last night. A total of 10 players took their seats with only top 3 assured a paycheck. The action got underway at 9 pm and eventually after 4+ hours of grinding session, it was well-known figure Siddarth Singhvi aka ‘PeterPunter’ who topped the list securing the largest chunk of prize pool. Singhvi is followed by Ankit Wadhawan aka ‘Shippament’ in the second place and Anirudh Reddy aka ‘flash’ in the third place.
The biggest online poker festival in the country ended with IOPC #21 Big Daddy INR 15 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker. The INR 2,200 buy-in event garnered a field of 734 runners and the top 63 players finished in the money securing INR 6K as min-cash. Coming out on top was Sathish Ananth aka ‘Jaqkten’ who clinched to the final IOPC title and the top prize while his opponent ‘dancingshrimp’ settled in the runner-up position.
A total of 485 entries registered to Sunday flagship event BSS SuperStack INR 25 Lakhs GTD on PokerBaazi this Sunday. The champion was crowned in Abhishek Kumar who plays under the username ‘ketchup’, pocketed the first-place prize money of INR 5.03 Lakhs after knocking out his opponent Ashutosh Balodhi ‘senojwod’ in heads-up. The latter banked the second-place payout of INR 3.52 Lakhs
The IMPS #121 Day 2 Main Event INR 20 Lakhs GTD saw 421 entries hit the felt last night on PokerBaazi. Producing a bigger prize pool worth INR 21.32 Lakh, all participants were paid out atleast INR 1.2K. Well-known poker pro Chiraag Patel aka ‘Versutus’ proved to be the last man standing and pocketed INR 3.52 Lakhs after defeating Pranav Anand aka ‘mithrandir16’ in heads-up who collected INR 2.42 Lakhs in second place payout.
Sunday popular INR 25 Lakhs GTD APF Millions on Adda52 pulled in a strong field of 254 entries. The event created a prize pool worth INR 25.40 Lakhs which was assured to the top 27 places. It was circuit grinder Arjunn Agrawal aka ‘HaanMeinFlipHoon’ who grabbed INR 5.37 Lakhs in prize money for his efforts. Earning the second-place payout of INR 5.16 Lakhs was Parth Trivedi aka ‘BobbyAxelrod’.
Another big attraction last night across the virtual felt of the country was Adda52’s APF Full House Finale INR 1 Crore GTD. After five starting flights, a total of 207 survivors took to the field last night to seize the largest share from the final prize pool. An anonymous player ‘DPT.54’ came out on top adding a hefty INR 21 Lakhs to his poker bankroll. Vinay Rajpal aka ‘vinay0902’, last week’s Night on Stars’ winner secured the second-place payout of INR 13.20 Lakhs.
PokerStars India’s flagship weekly tournament, the Sunday Special – Progressive KO INR 15 Lakhs GTD, was finally successful in surpassing its guarantee collecting INR 18.35 Lakhs in prize money through 367 entries. Raj Shrestha Juneja aka ‘rsj75’ topped the massive field, banking an impressive payday of INR 1.45 Lakhs after the players settled fort heads-up deal. This eventually saw Devang Mehta aka ‘Infic11’ settling in the second place for INR 1.44 Lakhs.
Circuit popular Sreekanth Narayan aka ‘LaganaHiToHai’ overcame a field of 129 entries to claim the title in PokerStars India’s Sunday Highroller INR 15 Lakhs GTD for an impressive INR 3.27 Lakhs in prize money. The champion beat ‘sunny9456’ in heads-up play who went out with INR 2.43 Lakhs for finishing second. Money reached the top 20 players who secured INR 24K in min-cash.
