PokerBaazi’s Sunday mainstay tournament – PPL #16 BSS SuperStack INR 30 Lakhs GTD was a crowd puller! The event was lit with 557 runners, generating a prize pool of 30 Lakhs that reached the top 30 finishers. A mystery player ‘easypickns’ rode past the field and took down the Sunday valuable title for INR 5.83 Lakhs in cash prize after defeating ‘pokerkid08’ in heads-up battle. The latter banked INR 4.09 Lakhs. Chirag Sodha aka ‘miyagi’ settled in the 4th place for INR 1.94 Lakh.
A total of 312 entries were registered in the BSS #17 BSS MegaStack INR 15 Lakhs GTD this Sunday on PokerBaazi. The INR 3,850 buy-in event assured the top 36 players a min-cash of INR 10,200. Anonymous grinder ‘Apocalypto’ topped the field to emerge as the ultimate champion and received a paycheque of INR 3.31 Lakhs. Pratibh Saluja aka ‘pratibhsaluja’ finished second, earning INR 2.33 Lakhs for his efforts. Poker pro Kunal Patni aka ‘VasooliChacha’ secured INR 1.5 Lakh for 3rd place finish.
Making a few deep runs lately, Ritwik Khanna aka ‘ritwikkhanna’ took down INR 2 Lakhs GTD PPL #18 6-Max Holdem Boost on PokerBaazi last night. The affordable INR 1,100 buy-in tourney attracted 257 entries, generating a prize pool worth INR 2.57 Lakhs. Money eventually reached the top 27 players. Khanna pocketed INR 60,470 in top prize after railing out his opponent ‘Sampapa’ in heads-up who earned INR 42,430.
For a buy-in of INR 3,850, a total of 294 entries pounced on the field of PokerBaazi’s PPL #19 Flight 1D The Endeavour. The INR 50 Lakhs GTD event saw only 38 survivors leading to Day 2 after a 4+ hours of grinding session. Accumulating the largest stack of 3.01L was Dinesh Kukreja aka ‘htc170209’. The chip leader was followed by Sandy Lamba aka ‘Narcos’ bagging 2.46L chips and Kanchan Sharma aka ‘Kanchansharma’ with 2.03L chips, thus rounding up the top three.
Adda52 hosted AOPS Sunday Punch INR 5 Lakhs GTD last night. The event clocked in a total of 679 hopefuls, battling to claim the top prize. After almost 8 hours of intense grinding session, it was ‘Vikinse’ who clinched to the top prize of INR 86,146 while his opponent and circuit regular Monish Kumar aka ‘monish1965’ ended up taking home the second place payout of INR 83,958.
Another showstopper event INR 5 Lakhs GTD AOPS PKO Shots registered a total of 183 entries. The tourney began at 10 pm on Adda52 yesterday and the last man standing was Shagun Jain aka ‘sogani94’ who collected 9 bounties on his way and claimed the first prize of INR 1.40 Lakhs. Jain eliminated Sagar Patnaik aka ‘passivity’ in heads-up who added INR 84,000 to his poker bankroll along with 12 bounties.
PokerStars India hosted Sunday popular INR 18 Lakhs GTD Sunday Special. The event drew 362 entries producing INR 18.10 Lakhs in prize pool. Racing ahead of the rest was circuit popular Siddharth Mundada aka ‘WaaaduHek’ who banked the first place prize money of INR 1.65 Lakhs after defeating Partho Datta aka ‘SpidermanIndia’ in heads-up. The latter earned INR 1.20 Lakhs for runner-up finish.
