Sony PS5 Restock Goes Live Then Sells Out In 5 Minutes!

The PlayStation 5 (PS5) may just be Sony’s best product yet. Why do we say this? Well, just after the PS5 was restocked and made available in India yesterday (26 July), it completely sold out within five minutes. The demand for the PS5 has been on an all-time high since Sony released it in November 2020. According to those keeping a record, this is apparently Sony’s sixth restock.

While retailers like Amazon and Croma have managed to provide a hassle-free experience for its customers ordering the PS5, others like Games The Shop and Flipkart have been less successful. Many complaints were received with regards to the technical issues on these websites and even the console itself. Some customers even complained that they were unable to pre-order, with one retailer even forcing customers to cancel orders.

There are some retailers that keep a few stocks to make them available at a later date, this is mostly done due to unclear information on their stocks from Sony. Other than that, it’s another long wait for those who couldn’t get a hold of the PS5. However, it is very likely that a new restock date will be announced soon. So don’t let your hopes be dashed too soon.

For the lucky ones who did manage to get a hold of the PS5, expect your console to reach you by the second week of August. But it is also advisable to be ready for some delays, as the pandemic and lockdowns have slowed down the deliveries of the consoles to different parts of the country.
