Santhosh Suvarna Finishes 28th In High Rollers Championship At WSOP Paradise 2023

Santhosh Suvarna has shined brightly at the ongoing World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise 2023. The much talked about event is taking place at the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas between the 3rd and 14th of December 2023. This series boasts 15 bracelet events with over $50 Million in guaranteed prizes.

With some of the biggest names in poker history busy chasing the bracelet, we have seen two Indian players capture the spotlight.

Suvarna, a high-stakes regular, has been making the waves with his performance at WSOP Paradise 2023. The Indian poker star played Event #3: $25,000 High Rollers Championship and claimed the 28th spot to pocket $77,000 for his outing.

Speaking about his final hand, Suvarna (J♠ J ♣)  was all in for about 2,250,000 against Frank Brannan (T♠ T♣). The board popped out Q♠ 10♥ 3♦ with the 5♣ on the turn, leaving Suvarna a jack to survive. However, the river card of K♥ saw the one-time WSOP bracelet winner packing up.

The GGMillion High Rollers Championship event saw a field of 533 entries with a prize pool of $13,325,000 on offer for a buy-in of just $25,000. 

Apart from Suvarna, Kartik Ved turned up the heat and cashed out in Event #1: $1,500 Mystery Millions. Ved reached the final table at the WSOP Paradise 2023  event before busting out in the seventh position to earn $80,000. 

Both the Indian players have excelled in what comes as a significant achievement at WSOP Paradise 2023. With the Indian players shining brighter than ever at one of the biggest stages in world poker, it remains interesting to see which poker pro manages to bring glory to the nation this time.
