Sammy Farha, often referred to as ‘Sam’ in the world of poker, is a Lebanese-born professional poker player known for his distinctive style, charisma, and iconic cigar-chomping presence at the table. Born on 7th May, 1959, in Beirut, Lebanon, Farha eventually moved to the United States to pursue poker.
Farha gained widespread recognition in the poker industry after his memorable performance in the 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. He finished as the runner-up to Chris Moneymaker in what became one of the most historic events in poker history. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has seen some remarkable performances over the years. In the 34th WSOP in 2003, a player secured the second position in the $10,000 World Championship Event, taking home a whopping $1,300,000. Fast forward to 2010, at the 41st WSOP, the same player clinched the first position in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo 8 – Championship, earning a substantial $488,241.

The player’s winning streak continued in the 37th WSOP in 2006, where they won the $5,000 Omaha Hi/Lo, bagging $398,560. Going back to the 27th WSOP in 1996, the player had already made a mark by winning the $2,500 Omaha Pot Limit and earning $145,000. These victories highlight the player’s consistent performance and mastery over different poker formats in the prestigious WSOP tournaments.
As per reported figures, Farha has total live tournament earnings of close to $3 Million, with his best live cash coming in the form of $1.3 Million from WSOP 2003 World Championship event. With impressive earnings from poker and other business ventures, Farha is reported to have a net worth which will leave you feeling envious.
As of April 2024, Sam Farha net worth reportedly sits at $100 Million. Media reports have added Farha’s name in the list of the richest poker players in the world.
