Rohit Begwani Ships Hyper Turbo Event At USOP Da Nang 2023

We have one more Indian pro registering his name in history as a U Series Of Poker (USOP) champion. This time, it is Rohit Begwani who shipped Event #50 Hyper Turbo for a prize money worth VND 69,100,000 at the Asian series. The Hyper Turbo was hosted on 26th November and kicked off at 8:30 PM (local time). This event had a buy-in of VND 3,400,000 and the starting stack was 15K.

Hyper Turbo Event – USOP Da Nang 2023

This was a magnificent win by Begwani. This event paid the top 8 places from a final prize pool worth VND 194,900,000 (~$8,030). The Hyper Turbo event recorded a total of 67 (46 unique) entries from which Begwani emerged victorious.

Previously, the Indian pro finished runner-up at the Turbo event. Begwani took a pay cheque of VND 46.90 Million (~₹1.61 Lakh) for his Turbo win. 

While we don’t have all the details of Begwani’s Hyper Turbo victory, we are proud to see this poker player win a title after coming so close in the runner-up spot. Apart from Begwani, Amit Kaushik and Vinay B have added trophies to their credit. 

The pros who are grinding at the USOP Da Nang 2023 include names like Ritwik Khanna, Kunal Patni, Deepankur Gupta, Meherzad Munsaf, Vishal Ojha, Aditya Singh, Avneesh Munjal, Abhishek Paul, Rishab Singh Rawat, Mohit Bohra, Harsh Bubna, and Siddharth Karia.

Talking about Begwani, the player has been away from the poker action since 2017. Looking at Begwani’s runner-up finish which remains to be his career-best score, and the latest title win, one can expect more trophies coming his way. We hope to see this poker player bring home glory with his stellar performances in poker. 

Apart from winning trophies at the USOP Da Nang 2023, Indian players were eyeing the coveted Main Event. Those who qualified Day 2 were battling very hard to advance further into the game. But sadly, none of the Indian pros could make it to the final table.
