PUBG’s Krafton Hires Twitch’s Kevin Lin As One Of The Board Of Directors

Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin has been appointed as one of the board of directors for Krafton, the parent company of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). Altogether, four members have been appointed and Lin is one among them. Lin will be joined by Suekyung Lee, the SVP of Procter & Gamble China, Eunjung Yeo, Eunjung Yeo, professor at Chung-Ang University and KT Corp’s board member, and Yanghee Paik, Rael, co-founder and CEO.

In November 2020, Lin departed from Twitch. According to a press release, Lin will provide a perspective to the South Korean video gaming company. The press release read as, ‘uniquely positioned to understand the opportunities and difficulties associated with a rapidly-expanding IP like PUBG.’

The Twitch co-founder took to Twitter and bid goodbye to his colleagues at the brand.

Lin is expected to give the brand a better understanding of the digital and gaming industry. He will also be helping CH Kim, the CEO of Krafton, as he plans to grow the company into a global competitive brand and wishes to aggressively invest in promising new start-ups.

It has also been reported that Krafton is working on PUBG Mobile India, a version that could replace the app that was banned by the Indian Government last September. However, Krafton has not yet made the formal announcement. The information was leaked when a popular PUBG Mobile content creator GodNixon aka ‘Luv Sharma’ had recently reported in a video that the Indian government has given approval to PUBG Mobile India.
