PokerBaazi LIVE and Casino Majestic Pride have ended their three-year-long partnership. This shocking announcement comes after the brand hosted its latest edition of the Baazi Poker Tour at the Casino Majestic Pride. According to sources, the decision to part ways was amicable.
The partnership between the two began in June 2019 when PokerBaazi hosted live games aboard the floating casino. The LIVE poker room became one of Goa’s three most popular poker rooms. The other two being the Spartan LIVE poker room on Big Daddy Casino and the Adda52 LIVE poker room aboard Casino Deltin Royale.
Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Casino Majestic Pride hosted two successful editions of the Baazi Poker Tour in October 2019 and January 2020. With the latest edition of BPT in 2022 being an incredible success owing to mutual goodwill, the announcement to end the association came as a surprise.
Commenting on this news, Varun Ganjoo, Marketing Director at PokerBaazi, said, “We have had a long and cordial association with Casino Majestic Pride. We thank them for their co-operation over the last three years that helped make PokerBaazi LIVE, a premier live poker destination in India.”
“Given the growing demand for live poker tournaments and our ambitious plans, we had to make arrangements to accommodate larger turnouts. Unfortunately, this was not possible at Casino Majestic Pride. However, we have every intention to return with a better venue for the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room and an announcement on this will be made soon,” he further added.
With live events like Baazi Poker Tour and Asian Poker Tour among others now on the way, space to hold these events is an important factor that concerns the PokerBaazi team. The brand has made it clear that it is determined to return to a vastly spread-out venue that can comfortably accommodate large crowds of poker players, attending these events.
As live events gradually resume in India, following the pandemic lull, the poker community eagerly awaits an update on the newest PokerBaazi LIVE poker room.
