WSOP Returns With Online Series For 2021


 The action continues for poker fans around the world as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) returns with another online series. The schedule for the World Series of Poker Online (WSOPO) has been announced and is slated to start on 1 July and run till 1 August. Poker players will be thrilled as there will be at least 33 WSOP bracelets up for grabs.

Players from states of Nevada and New Jersey in the US will be able to participate in the series. While players outside the United States, for the international leg will be held on GGPoker online. Details like the schedule for the international segment of the series will be released in the coming weeks.

Ty Steward, executive director of WSOP said, “Poker deserves a big finish by 2021 and we’re looking to heat things up this summer. We expect to offer great value tournaments as well as comprehensive satellites to qualify for Las Vegas in the fall.”

Last year, the first online edition of WSOP received an overwhelming response from players around the world. The series witnessed over 2,83,983 entries and had a mega prize pool worth USD 174.5 Million. The event also gave away a total of 85 WSOP bracelets.

The WSOP 2021 will be approached in three parts and the WSOPO is one part of this plan. The traditional live event format which is an in-person event will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. This part of the WSOP will take place from 20 September-23 November. However, the exact number of bracelets that will be awarded in Las Vegas has not yet been announced. The WSOP Europe will also return this year with 15 bracelet events from 19 November-18 December at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
