Many players were charged up to set the virtual felts ablaze with their skills and determination. With high-value tournaments flooding the poker scene, it was not a surprise to see poker players flocking the poker rooms to win big. Here’s a complete lowdown on the weekend action.
When it comes to high-value tournaments, Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire event is well-known. Day 2 of the tournament saw 313 entries that made it from the flights. The buy-in for this mega event was INR 5,500. The advertised guarantee was surpassed with INR 1,07,00,000 being the final prize pool. The top 311 places were paid a min-cash of INR 9,095. It was ultimately poker professional Gaurav Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ who shipped the tournament with INR 14,18,283 in his pocket. Sood has won many high profile tournaments including the FTS 2.0 Kick-off event. Rony Chowdhury aka ‘Eunseom176’ came in second with INR 13,17,706 in winnings.

While The Millionaire is a prestigious title to win, Spartan Poker’s Sunday Superstack has remained one of the highly-awaited tournaments of the week. This time the action ran for 10 hours and witnessed 797 total entries who paid the buy-in of INR 4,400. The initial prize pool was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at INR 31,88,000 as the final amount. The top 24 entries walked away with INR 12,114 while it was player ‘Led-ZEppELiN’ who won and took home the biggest chunk of INR 6,15,284. Player Raman Gujral aka ‘tathagat’ was the runner-up and got INR 3,87,660 as prize money.
Another Sunday highlight for poker players is the Adda52 Millions on the Adda52 platform. The INR 11,000 buy-in tournament saw 242 entries in total. The top 24 places were paid a min-cash of INR 21,250 from the large prize pool. Player ‘Nam0’ shipped the event title and walked away with INR 6,86,250 as prize money. Following him was Romit Advani aka ‘ft83’ who got paid INR 4,00,000 for his second-place finish.
Poker players were flocking to PokerBaazi in order to play the platform’s Sunday special tournament the SuperStack. The tournament had an INR 5,500 buy-in and 385 total entries. The top 45 places were paid a min-cash of INR 11,200. It was mystery player ‘tannycruz’ that shipped this tournament and walked away with INR 4,20,000 in winnings. Another mystery player ‘vkmiyer’ was the runner-up and was paid INR 2,94,000 for his efforts.
Adda52’s Deepstack Madness was another highlight for players as a total of 466 players entered the fields. All of them paid a buy-in of INR 4,400. The tournament was flocked with 1,071 total entries and had a buy-in of INR 1,100. The advertised guarantee was surpassed and recorded INR 10,98,000 as the final prize pool. Out of the top 111 places that were paid a min-cash of INR 2,745 it was ‘Pritam’ who won and took home the largest piece of the prize pool. He earned INR 1,52,408 in winnings. ‘AlokD’ came in second with INR 1,46,031 in his pocket.

The madness on PokerSaint continues as it keeps its players on the tip of their toes. The Monster Madness event saw a total of 323 entries battling it out on the virtual felts. These entries paid a buy-in of INR 2,500 to participate in this tournament. The top 59 places were paid a min-cash of INR 5,375. It was finally player Ashvin Rao aka ‘Nivhsa’ that conquered the field and took home INR 1,35,144 in prize money. Player ‘madhabpal2015’ made it to second place and walked home with INR 1,28,407.
