IOPC Day 3: Pankaj Sharma, Ravi Jain grab second IOPC titles!


The most awaited India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2020 is promising INR 25 Crore in prize pool. And yesterday was another was another action packed day as the advertised guarantee of each tournament surpassed successfully! IOPC Day 3 also hosted second flight of Millionaire United INR 1.5 Crore GTD. So, let’s read further to learn about the champions…

IOPC #14 INR 4L GTD

Spartan Poker’s IOPC Day 3 kicked off with 987 entries with each chipping in as low as INR 550 buy-in . Drawing INR 4.93 Lakhs prize pool, the top 79 spots received a payout. Coming out on top was ‘scofield1210’ who outlasted ‘GODSENT’ in heads-up in level 49 of the tournament with QQ44 over his opponent’s 5544 to claim the ultimate IOPC title!

IOPC #15 INR 6L GTD

At 2 pm, IOPC Event 15 clocked in 524 entries on Spartan Poker. The buy-in rose to become INR 1,650, smashing the promised amount to accumulate INR 7.86 Lakhs in prize pool. A min-cash of INR 5K was shared among the top 39 players. The last man standing was Sreeprakaash Seetharaman aka ‘fitzmagic’ who knocked out ‘Hondrick’ in heads-up to bag the top prize.

IOPC #16 Monster Stack INR 5L GTD

A total of 902 massive entries took to the field in IOPC #16, successfully accumulating INR 7.21 Lakhs prize pool. Seizing his second IOPC July 2020 title was Pankaj Sharma aka ‘Uknapdmj’ emerged victorious. The event concluded after a heads-up deal which eventually saw ‘Stick3rz’ settling down in second position. It was on IOPC Day 1 that the champion outlasted 500+ entries in IOPC #4 INR 3 Lakhs GTD.

IOPC The Millionaire United (Day 1B)

Second starting flight of the much awaited IOPC The Millionaire INR 1.5 Crore GTD attracted 619 entries. Ultimately, it was poker pro Ashish Munot aka ‘Donkey 07’ who powered through the field, building a stack of 280,386. Munot, the overall chip leader was followed by ‘ToTheStreets’ who bagged 197,612 chips, progressing to Day 2.

IOPC #17 Titan Stack INR 25L GTD

With a buy-in of INR 4,400, Event 17 wrangled in 808 entries on Spartan Poker, culminating in INR 32.32 Lakhs prize pool. The champion of the night was ‘highr0ller’ who defeated ‘grovahova’ in heads-up battle to clinch to the top prize. In level 56 of the tournament, both players, ‘highr0ller’ (Ad 6c) and ‘grovahova’ (Tc Qh) put their entire chips in the middle. The board opened Qc 5d 4h Th 6h and the former showed QQTT over his opponent’s 66 to grab his first ever IOPC July 2020 title.

IOPC #18 House Party INR 12L GTD

The INR 12 Lakhs GTD IOPC House Party crowned a champion in Ravi Jain aka ‘Rvjn91’, the winner of the first IOPC July tourney, Event #1. Jain overcame a field of 823 entries and walked away with the largest chunk of INR 16.68 Lakhs prize pool. The final two players agreed for a heads-up deal which saw ‘Fisherman1997’ in the runner-up position.

IOPC #19 Daredevil INR 8L GTD

The final tourney of the Day 3 of IOPC was Saturday flagship event Daredevil. The event gathered 512 entries and drawing a prize pool of INR 10.24 Lakhs. Vaibhav Arora aka ‘Vakeel_sahab’ defeated ‘BLueWhale222’ in heads-up to claim the title and earn the winner’s paycheck. Also, the top 39 players ended up earning INR 7K in min-cash, concluding the IOPC Day 3.
