Phil Hellmuth misses out on grabbing second U.S. Poker Open title after he finishes fifth for $108,000. American pro Isaac Haxton ships Event 8 for a payday of $423,000.

Six players remain in Event #8: $25,000 NL Hold’em at the 2023 U.S. Poker Open. Dan Smith leads the field that includes Isaac Haxton, Alex Foxen, Phil Hellmuth, Joey Weissman, and Bill Klein. Hellmuth is fourth in chips and looking for his second title of the series after he won Event #5: $10,000 NL Hold’em for $211,200. Weissman won the opening event of the series for $231,000 and is also eyeing his second trip to the winner’s circle this U.S. Poker Open.
