No Visa To Vietnam For Indian Poker Players And Tourists

Vietnam is set to be the next big destination for Indian travellers after the country announced its decision to allow visa-free travel for Indians. Yes, you read it right. Nguyen Van Hung, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared how travelers holding an Indian passport will not need a visa to travel to Vietnam.

Van Hung called for short-term visa waivers for multiple top markets. This includes the likes of Asian countries like India and China and European nationals of France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark to drive tourism in the country.

Vietnam started off issuing e-visas for individuals from all the countries mentioned above and territories back in mid-August, presenting a 90-day validity period and multiple entries to the country.

This is great news for Indians after countries like Thailand and Sri Lanka also announced visa waivers. Thailand scrapped the need for a visa for Indian travellers from 10th November. This visa exemption decision allows Indian tourists to stay in the country for 30 days until 10th May 2024.

The Vietnam visa waiver comes as good news for Indian poker players who will be eager to travel around various places in Vietnam to play poker. Destinations like Hanoi and Da Nang are fast becoming the new hot spots for poker players who travel from across the globe.

Various companies, namely the Asian Poker Tour (APT), U Series of Poker (USOP), Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP), and Triton Poker Series, host poker events in Vietnam.
