Game of Gold by Poker After Dark is getting intense and our nerves are wrecked with some nail biting moments in the show. The second episode of Game of Gold is out and we can see Indian poker pro Nikita Luther locking horns with Asian Poker Tour (APT) co-owner Michael Soyza.
In one of the hands played on the show sees both Luther and Soyza both go all-in. What happens next? Keep reading to find out.
When blinds were 60K/120K at Level 6, Soyza moved all-in for 990K holding Q9o. The only Indian female pro to have won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet also went all-in for 540K with AJs. The dealer was ready to fan out the flop and the tension was visible among both the warring rivals. The flop brought 8c 6c 5h.
This kept Luther ahead with her AJ but the turn and river card could have changed her fortunes. But did it? The answer is no. The turn and river brought 8d and 2c which meant Luther won and scooped a pot worth $1.2 Million chips. Luther’s team mates, YoH Viral, German pro Fedor Holz and Charlie Carrel (why so shirtless while wearing one?) were cheering loudly for her.
