Nik Airball Hoped For A Win; Tom Dwan Slapped Him With A Straight Flush

Live streamed Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) games have started gaining a lot of popularity recently, given Hustler Casino Live’s effort to put this format on the map. Anyone who has been watching Hustler Casino Live can attest to the fact that PLO is having its moment and shining bright. Despite Hold’em being a key driving factor in getting views on streams, we have also seen attention grabbing PLO games.

As we have often witnessed, the duo of Nik Airball and Tom Dwan get involved in some epic hands. Their streak of playing some of the most amazing hands continued as the duo was part of yet another insane hand.

This hand starts off with the Professor folding his cards. Anthony and Nik Airball check, waiting for the flop. Tom Dwan boasted Jh 8d 7d 2s while Airball held Ah Kh 9h 6c, with Anthony having Jc 9c 3c 2d. The flop opened up with just $3,500 in the pot and popped out Jd Qd 10d.

Dwan hit a flush (with a hope of straight flush) while Anthony sat atop a flush draw and Airball now had an Ace-high straight. All the players checked quickly for the turn card, which popped up as 3d. Yes, yet another diamond on the table.

Anthony decided to check again while Airball bet $3,000. Dwan had a quick look at his cards before making the call which saw Anthony throw his cards and walk away from the hand.

The pot value rose up to $9,500 with Tom Dwan and Airball pitted against each other, awaiting the river card. The final community card popped up as 9d handing Tom Dwan a STRAIGHT FLUSH! Yes, you read it right! A Straight FLUSH! How often does that happen!?

Airball, who had to act first, decided to bet $8,000 while Dwan immediately jams for $28,000. With $20,000 to call, Airball takes a hard look at his cards and calls, boosting the pot value to $65,500.

Tom Dwan showed his cards as Airball sat in dismay as his rival pocketed $34,000 in a single hand. Dawn and Airball share a great relationship despite being fierce rivals. Airball may be entertaining, but beating Dwan in poker is not a child’s play.
