Watching a movie is a good way to unwind after an intense game of poker. The holiday season always have a plethora of movies that come out. But with theaters closed because of the pandemic crisis, staying at home is probably the safest option. So, let’s take the old-school route and watch some classic holiday flicks. With only a few days to go, here are five Christmas movies to make the wait slightly easier.
This movie had to be on our list, it’s a Christmas staple. It is just one of those hilarious, feel good Christmas movies that we simply can’t enough of. There’s just something about watching an eight-year-old boy out smart two grown men, that puts a smile on our faces every time. Watch it now if you haven’t already and if you have, what’s the harm in watching it again?
This stop-motion, dark Christmas musical leaves us on edge with its amusing yet haunting animation. Thought to be ‘too scary for kids’ this Tim Burton movie is a loved Christmas classic that perfectly puts a little bit of spookiness to the Christmas spirit.
‘Elf’ is a Christmas comedy centered around a man called ‘Buddy’ who was raised by Santa’s elves. The movie follows him as he spreads the Christmas cheer while trying to find his biological father. Buddy’s happy demeanor in the midst of cynical New Yorkers is what puts the comedy into this movie.
If you want to spend your holidays cozying up to your significant other, then this romantic comedy is the one for you. ‘The Holiday’ is a funny movie about two girls who exchange their houses to escape heartbreak and find love when they least expect it. A must watch for couples but to all the single people out there, we suggest watching something else unless you want to feel extra single after this one.
Who knew a dad trying to get his son the best Christmas present would make for comedy gold? But ‘Jingle All The Way’ does it with ease and some holiday magic. With Arnold Schwarzenegger playing the role of the father, this movie was way funnier than we thought it would be. Expect some roaring laughs after watching it.
