It was a rather productive day for lawyers who took on the responsibility of representing the alleged cheater Martin Kabrhel. Yes folks, Kabrhel who was reportedly accused of cheating in WSOP 2023 by Andrew Robl, has now slapped a defamation suit on Robl, Justin Bonomo, PokerGo, Chance Kornuth and Dan Smith.
An attorney named Daniel B. Ravicher (he’s followed by Doug Polk on Twitter) had shared a legal document on his Twitter handle which is proof that Kabrhel is suing the above mentioned players and brand for defamation.
It is understandable that the Czech player is upset and had warned poker players when it comes to calling him a cheater, but did he not think even once that as per World Series of Poker (WSOP) rules, his actions could bring him a penalty or even a ban (he could have focussed more on clearing his name than anything else).
Kabrhel, who finished third in the $250K High Roller event at the WSOP 2023, defended himself and stated that he was not cheating. This player who resides in Prague was called out for his pathetic behaviour on the poker tables and his unacceptable antics which many termed as cheating.

Chance Kornuth wrote a very long post on how Kabrhel indulges in getting an edge over other players on the table. Kornuth who’s been making some steady runs in the current edition of WSOP, stated that be it angle shooting, marking cards or other activity which can be termed as cheating, Kabrhel has checked all the boxes and should be banned from playing WSOP (Kornuth also mentioned that Kabrhel abused Alex Kulev consistently).
Martin Kabrhel should 100% be banned.
But not for the reason that most think…
I’ve had a lot of people asking me about the MK situation in the last few days, and I have given it considerable thought.

On the other hand, Kabrhel’s lawyer wrote very confidently about his client’s innocence in his Twitter post. He added, “To be absolutely clear, Mr. Kabrhel is not a cheater. He does not mark cards. You have said these false things with malicious intent. We will prove this in court and ask that you be ordered to compensate him for any and all injury caused by your statements.”
In a fun twist, Tom Dwan retweeted Ravicher’s post and called him a clown. All we have to say is that if Kabrhel wanted to prove his innocence, why not let WSOP take a stand on his behaviour and antics during the event? Throwing a defamation suit on players who spoke against him and called for a ban, looks more like a desperate move to alter the narrative which is strongly against him.
Anyone know this clown? https://t.co/uvyPFkqndY
