Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Poker Room Reopens!

Hotels along the Las Vegas strip have begun to reopen since the start of June. Although, casino and poker rooms took some time to open for the public, MGM Grand finally reopened their poker rooms on Friday with dividers made of Plexiglass, which are being used by the sister hotels of MGM properties. The room will be open from 4 pm – midnight Thursday through Monday, a spokesman said.

8 tables will be available for play. Only cash games will be allowed, no tournaments. Though things won’t get to normal immediately since the outbreak of coronavirus. It has been a relief for some of the poker players who have been aching to play some live poker. The MGM properties have installed plexiglass compared to their competitors as it allows them to have a 6-handed game at their poker tables.

Whereas the neighbouring can afford a 5-handed game of poker, following the rules and regulation set by the Gaming Control Board. “We are very pleased by the enthusiasm we are seeing from guests ready to come back to Las Vegas,” acting CEO Bill Hornbuckle told the Gazette-Journal. “As business demand increases, we are able to open additional properties and bring more of our employees back to work.”

There will be strict rules and regulations followed by the staff and the visitors for the safety of the people. Temperatures checks and screening will be mandatory. The Aria, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Golden Nugget, The Orleans, Sahara Las Vegas, South Point and The Venetian are also open. A month ago, Excalibur Hotel & Casino, the latest Las Vegas property owned by MGM Resorts International reopened their doors.
