Justin Bonomo Is Now Saying Martin Kabrhel Is Not A Cheater?

After accusing Martin Kabrhel of cheating at a World Series of Poker (WSOP) g ame just two days ago, Justin Bonomo is now saying that the former is not really a cheater. Bonomo recently posted a long thread of tweets in which he claimed that Kabrhel is not really cheating, but he is deceiving others that he is cheating.

He started the thread by saying, “Let me tell you about two of the most stressful, unpleasant poker experiences I’ve ever had. One occurred in a tournament I cashed for $600,000 in. The other was in a tournament that I won for one of the biggest scores of my career.”

He then shared an incident where he won an event, however, it was an uneasy experience.

The second incident he shared was that regarding Kabrhel, saying, “The other of the 2 experiences was one that I wrote about recently – the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl with Martin Kabrhel. He was accused of at least 3 different forms of cheating in this one tournament. I can’t say for sure which he was guilty of.”

He further says that Kabrhel wasn’t being the bad boy. He wrote, “What I want to stress, is he wasn’t being “the bad boy”. He wasn’t intimidating the other players or using “speech play” to gain an edge. He gave everyone the impression he was cheating, and that is not ok.” (sic)

What Martin does goes far beyond issues of bad sportsmanship

He was being so incredibly shady that players had no choice but to watch him, and the floor, and the cameras, and the spectators, rather than focus on the poker

He also said things like Kabrhel’s behaviour is beyond sportsmanship, and that it is a clear form of deception.

This isn't some clever form of deception. And it's not just incredibly unpleasant. It's incredibly unfair

Game integrity should be a right that players have. And one that the casinos and staff work hard and transparently to maintain

Bonomo still held his ground that Kabrhel should be banned from the WSOP.

High stakes games can only exist if the players believe the games are fairly run

Once you take that away, the players will leave and the games will die. It's happened to many games before and it will happen again
