Jason Koon Awarded The Ivan Leow Player Of The Year

Poker pro Jason Koon has been named the The Ivan Leow Player Of The Year by the Triton Poker Series. Koon is the only player in the world to have seven Triton Poker titles to his credit.

Triton Poker Series announced the award on their social media handles. “The exciting Ivan Leow Player of the Year race has ended! We proudly present to you; @JasonKoon as the WINNER! 👏🎉 It was an extremely close call for the contenders but the run good for Jason Koon in North Cyprus sealed the deal. 🙌🏻Well played and congratulations on the huge win Jason! 🥳” the post read.

About Ivan Leow Player Of The Year

Triton Poker officially named it’s annual Player of the Year award as ‘Ivan Leow Player Of The Year,’ to honour the famous poker player and Triton Poker co-founder Ivan Leow in March this year. Leow was one of the most successful Triton poker player suddenly passed away in September 2022. The winner gets a trophy also named after Leow, long with $200,000. 

While naming the award, Andy Wong, CEO of Triton Poker had said, “This is a chance for us to recognise the immense contribution Ivan made to the poker community and to express our profound admiration for the way he has inspired us all.”
