Isaac Haxton Ships Super High Roller Bowl VIII For $2,760,000

Isaac Haxton is now a two-time Super High Roller Bowl champion after winning Super High Roller Bowl VIII for $2,760,000. Haxton took a commanding chip lead into the third and final day of play and ultimately topped Andrew Lichtenberger in heads-up play to win the title.

One of the most celebrated high rollers in poker, Haxton now has victories in Super High Roller Bowl V (2018) and Super High Roller Bowl VIII (2023). With the win, Haxton increased his career total to more than $42,700,000 in tournament earnings, jumping ahead of Phil Ivey and into 10th place on poker’s all-time money list.

Super High Roller Bowl VIII Results

  1. Isaac Haxton – $2,760,000
  2. Andrew Lichtenberger – $1,680,000
  3. Stephen Chidwick – $960,000
  4. Jason Koon – $600,000

Super High Roller Bowl VIII had a $300,000 buy-in and a field of 20 entries, creating a $6,000,000 prize pool.

Entering the final day of play, Haxton held more than half of the chips with six players remaining. Bryn Kenney busted first on the day, then it was Chris Brewer who was knocked out on the money bubble in fifth place.

In the money with four players remaining, Jason Koon was first to the payout window to collect a fourth-place payday. Then it was Stephen Chidwick who busted in third place to set up the heads-up match between Haxton and Lichtenberger. Twice Haxton stretched out big chip leads only to see Lichtenberger double back into a slight lead.

Finally, with the chip stacks just above even, Haxton scored an enormous double through Lichtenberger when his flush draw came in. Lichtenberger was left with only a handful of big blinds and was eliminated a couple of hands later.

Lichtenberger, who placed third in this event last year for $1,152,000, took home $1,680,000 for his runner-up performance.
