IOPC June 2022 Main Event Winner – Saurabh Rohila

As we gear up for another edition of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC), which promises to be sensational and a mega hit, it calls for some flashbacks too. So, as we recall all the glorious editions from the past of India’s biggest poker series, let us recollect the last edition and its Main Event winner who took home the coveted crown and that lofty pay cheque.

Yes, we’re talking about Saurabh Rohila, who etched his name in the history of IOPC and Indian poker by shipping the IOPC June 2022 The Crown Main Event.

Who is Saurabh Rohila?

First things first, let’s know a little more about who Rohila is. The poker champ is an IIT Delhi graduate, who started playing the game of skill back in 2011 during his college days and hasn’t stopped ever since. He may not have yet switched to playing poker professionally, but he has surely made a name for himself in the Indian poker circuit, courtesy his online poker exploits, and his love for the game.

IOPC June 2022 Main Event victory:

The night of 19th June 2022 wasn’t an ordinary one for the online poker grinders, as everyone had their eyes fixed on who takes down the coveted The Crown Main Event title. Surpassing 4,721 entries across eight starting flights, Rohila walked into Day 2 of the Main Event like a boss with five stacks. After a long seven-hour grind on Day 2 and beating players like former IOPC Main Event winner Harshit Sanghi (July 2020), Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) April 2022 Highroller winner Aayush Arya and regs like Shrey Baj, Advait Rajguru among others on the final table, Rohila struck a heads-up deal with mystery player ‘washerman’ and took the top spot. He cashed ₹53,77,936 for his victory along with winning the diamond-studded crown. ‘washerman’ settled with ₹48,97,975 at the runner-up spot. The Main Event recorded a final prize pool of ₹4.72 Crore against its advertised guarantee of ₹4 Crore. There were 671 survivors and the top 665 entries were paid, and the min-cash stood at ₹18,880.

Saurabh Rohila Live Stats:

We’re not sure if Rohila has made his live poker debut or not, but with the upcoming India Poker Championship (IPC) coming soon, we can only hope to see him get his online skills onto the live poker felts.
