Poker players kick-started this week by grinding rigorously in the ongoing India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2021. Spartan Poker was filled with enthusiastic players competing against each other to clinch the top spot. Let us take a look at who all won on IOPC Day 5.
The day kicked off with the IOPC #26 which had an original prize pool of INR 2.50 Lakhs, which was crushed and further scaled up to INR 2,84,800. Top 31 places were paid with a buy-in of INR 440. The winner of this tournament ‘Noobdaddy7’ shipped the tournament and won INR 54,032 in prize money. On Day 2, ‘Noobdaddy7’ won the IOPC #9 and took home a whopping INR 1,45,125. This is not his first win at IOPC. In July, 2020 he had won the IOPC #60 3 Lakhs GTD tournament.
The winner of the IOPC #27 was none other than India’s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant aka ‘SuperuSer’ who bagged INR 1,38,345. The advertised guarantee was INR 6.50 Lakhs and the prize pool reached INR 6.90 Lakhs. The tournament had a total of 460 entries with a buy-in of INR INR 1,650.
Poker pro Aditya Sushant was on the cover of Gutshot’s e-magazine in the June 2019 edition, along with India’s first female WSOP bracelet winner Nikita Luther.
IOPC #28 was a major hit as the advertised guarantee was crushed for an even bigger prize pool of INR 5.46 Lakhs. The winner of this tournament was ‘Tatvmasi’ who cashed INR 1,05,651 in prize money. Top 63 players were paid with the buy-in being INR 770.
The total entries for the IOPC #29 tournament stood at 478 and top 39 players were paid. The winner of this tournament was ‘deranzzdd’ who shipped the tournament and was paid INR 66,535 in prize money. This player also won the IOPC #6 and IOPC #18 taking home INR 3,70,359 and INR 2,34,927 in prize money.
One of the tournaments which made headlines on Monday was the IOPC #30 Recharge tournament. The total entries stood at 1,179 and the original prize pool was crushed and finally reached INR 23.58 Lakhs. The winner of this tournament was Ratul Steves aka ‘Atriohm’ who won a whopping INR 4,45,426 in prize money.
The winner of IOPC #31 tournament was poker pro Ashish Ahuja aka ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ who was paid out INR 1,55,050 in winnings. The tournament consisted of 200 entries and top 27 players were paid. Ahuja is one among the top 5 players who made it big in 202o as his total earnings were around INR 3. 38 Crores last year.
This was one of the much-awaited tournaments of Day 5. The advertised guarantee of INR 10 Lakhs was crushed to an even bigger prize pool of INR 11.24 Lakhs. The winner of this tournament was Archit Singh Dhadwal aka ‘aarchit’ who took home a huge INR 1,82,134 in prize money. Top 47 players were paid and the buy-in stood at INR 2,200.
