IOPC Day 15: Saurabh Rohila Nails Super High Roller Title For 34.4 Lakh


India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) June 2022 is almost coming to and end, however, the action on the online felts are intense as ever. With the series being hosted on Spartan Poker, PokerHigh, BLITZPOKER, and AIO Games, its an exciting time for players who are looking to add IOPC titles to their list of achievements. IOPC #102 – ₹4.5 Lakh GTD

The first event of the day was IOPC #102 which had a guarantee of ₹4.5 Lakh GTD. The event welcomed a total of 742 players out of which 348 were unique players, 89 were re-entries, and 305 were re-buys. The ₹660 buy-in tournament ended with the top 63 places paid and a min-cash of ₹1,957 was given. Vishal Krishna aka ‘vikri’ was the winner of the tournament and took home ₹87,075 in prize money. The runner-up was ‘IPoopNuts’ who went home with ₹54,900.

IOPC #103 – ₹5.5 Lakh GTD

IOPC #103 with its ₹5.5 Lakh guarantee followed and saw 549 total entries participate in the event. From this total 278 were unique entries, 61 were re-entries, and 210 were re-buys. The tournament’s buy-in was ₹1,100 and in the end 47 places were paid. The min-cash stood at ₹3,135. The tournament ended in a deal with BLITZPOKER player ‘Aaces21’ taking home the title and a prize money worth ₹88,900. The runner-up was ‘Parshu01ram’ who walked away with ₹86,384.

IOPC #104 – ₹4.5 Lakh GTD

Next was the ₹4.5 Lakh guarantee tournament which was flocked with 285 unique players, 56 re-entries, and 242 re-buys i.e 583 total entries. The ₹880 buy-in event surpassed its initial guarantee and the final prize pool was ₹4,66,400. Players who made it to the top 47 places were paid at least a min-cash of ₹2,658. Gopal Bajaj aka ‘Mamacita’ scored his fourth IOPC win in the series as he grabbed the title and ₹77,707 in winnings. “I just played with a positive mindset, because I believe that the right mindset is key to achieving success!” said Bajaj on his dream run at this edition of IOPC. Sandeep Chaudhary aka ‘Thomas Shelby 009’ was the runner-up of the event and pocketed ₹70,934.

IOPC #105 – ₹5 Lakh GTD

The action moved on to IOPC #105 which had a buy-in of ₹880 and surpassed its original guarantee of ₹5 Lakh. The final prize pool generated was ₹5,71,200. The event welcomed a total of 714 entries which was made up of 324 unique players, 69 re-entries, and 321 re-buys. The top 55 players finished in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹2,799.

Jay Prajapati aka ‘denb’ shipped his second IOPC title of the series with this win and walked home with ₹89,936 in his pockets. The runner-up of the event was ‘Ak1011’ who added ₹73,594 to his bankroll.

IOPC #106 – Thursday Prime ₹35 Lakh GTD

The Thursday Prime was among the highly anticipated tournament of the day with its ₹35 Lakh guarantee. The event welcomed 465 unique players, 193 re-entries, and 328 re-buys which meant that a total of 986 entries played in the event. The ₹4,400 buy-in tournament quickly crushed its advertised guarantee and a final amount of ₹39,44,000 was generated. Players who found themselves in the top 95 spots were paid at least a min-cash of ₹11,634.

Shipping the title was player Akshay Nasa aka ‘GGGenius’ who had a lucrative win of ₹7,52,515 in his pockets. Player ‘footrocks’ was the runner-up and went home with ₹4,64,603.

IOPC #107 – Super High Roller ₹1.25 Crore GTD

The Super High Roller was the feature event of the day as it attracted some of the top online regs with a guarantee of ₹1.25 Crore. The tournament had a buy-in of ₹1,05,000 which was paid by a total of 139 entries. Out of this 83 were unique entries, 34 were re-entries, and 22 were re-buys. The event was a massive success and crushed its advertised guarantee. The final prize pool generated was worth a whopping ₹1,39,00,000. Only the top 17 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹2,18,230.   

Saurabh Rohila aka ‘darksider’ was the man of the moment as he shipped the prestigious event and fetched himself a whopping ₹34,97,240 in prize money. The runner-up was Siddharth Gangwar aka ‘cooking_nuts’ who also got a hefty payday of ₹23,63,000.

IOPC #108 – Thursday Spotlight ₹20 Lakh GTD

The Thursday Spotlight had a ₹20 Lakh guarantee which was eventually crushed. The final prize pool amount of ₹21,75,000 was generated. The ₹3,300 buy-in event had a player pool of 346 unique entries, 107 re-entries, and 272 re-buys. This meant that a total of 725 entries were grinding in the event. Out of this the top 63 players were paid and the min-cash was ₹9,461.

Online reg Sreekanth Narayan aka ‘GL1DE’ was clinched the title and had a payday of ₹4,20,862. Narayan also shipped the Texas Hold’em Championship Megastacks tournament on the same day for ₹2,34,000. The runner-up was ‘TejuHel’ who walked home with ₹2,65,350 in prize money.

IOPC #109 – All Rounder ₹11 Lakh GTD

The IOPC All Rounder was the final event of the day with its ₹11 Lakh guarantee. The tournament had a buy-in of ₹1,650 and a total of 717 entries participated in it. Out of this 367 were unique entries, 134 were re-entries, and 216 were re-buys. The top 71 places were paid and the min-cash given was ₹4,180.

Mystery player ‘WhatIffGawd’ shipped the title and took home ₹2,01,361 in prize money. Shrey Baj aka ‘Kingsb30’ was the runner-up for ₹1,44,698.
