IOPC Day 14: Rahul Kumar, Nitin Rawat Among Others Ship Titles


As the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) June 2022 nears its end, the action at the remaining few tournaments kept getting more and more intense. And yesterday’s events were proof. Also, the day saw the successful completion of 100 events at the glorious series. Here’s what went down yesterday on the virtual felts.

IOPC #95 – ₹4 Lakh GTD

This was the first tournament of the day, which had 699 entries (322 unique entries, 90 re-entries and 287 rebuys) battling it out for the prize pool of ₹4,19,400. The min-cash stood at ₹2,055 and the top 55 places finished in the money.

Shiv Chugh aka ‘cheekychugh’ topped the table and added ₹81,363 to his bankroll, while Yohan Patel aka ‘PAPITO’ had a payday of ₹51,586 at the runner-up spot.

IOPC #96 PKO – ₹7 Lakh GTD

This event had 184 unique entries, 77 re-entries and 148 rebuys. The top 39 places cashed at this event and the min-cash recorded was ₹4,124. Nikhil Jain aka ‘OnedotOne’ clinched the title for ₹1,07,242. Mihir Ganatra aka ‘autopilot’ was the runner-up as he cashed ₹76,514.

IOPC #97 – ₹4.50 Lakh GTD

IOPC #97 recorded a player field of 268 entries, 47 re-entries and 219 rebuys. The min-cash of ₹2,565 was paid. The top 47 places finished in the money.

Gurpal Singh aka ‘ToTheMoon’ topped the table and pocketed ₹75,176. Yuvraj Bhardwaj aka ‘Kalidenalii’ finished at the runner-up spot and took home ₹68,238 in prize money.

IOPC #98 PLO 4 cards – ₹4 Lakh GTD

This was a Pot-limit Omaha (PLO) 4 cards event which had a prize pool of ₹4,06,000 on offer. The top 63 places out of the 310 entries, 116 re-entries and 386 re-buys made it in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹1,766.

Nitin Rawat aka ‘NITINABD’ shipped this event and cashed ₹78,561. The runner-up, Varun Meena had a payday of ₹49,532.

IOPC #99 Wednesday Prime – ₹50 Lakh GTD

Wednesday Prime was the biggest tourney which had 481 unique entries, 196 re-entries and 329 rebuys. The final prize pool stood at ₹50,30,000. The top 95 places took home a min-cash of ₹14,838.

Last week’s Wednesday Prime winner, Rahul Kumar aka ‘BubbleDropMusic’ shipped the event again this week and grabbed a lion’s share of ₹9,59,724 as the winner. Ashit Sharma aka ‘D. Carwin1’ finished second and pocketed ₹5,92,534.

IOPC #100 Wednesday Spotlight – ₹16 Lakh GTD

Wednesday Spotlight marked the 100th event of this series and it was indeed special as the initial guarantee was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹16,11,000. Out of the 1,074 total entries, 502 were unique entries, 178 were re-entries and 394 were rebuys. The top 95 places were paid and the min-cash was set at ₹4,752.

Snehil Aggarwal aka ‘gaurav_arsh’ bagged ₹3,07,378 for his top place finish, while IPF May-June 2022 Ashish Ahuja aka ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ finished second for ₹1,89,775.

IOPC #101 All Rounder – ₹11 Lakh GTD

All Rounder was a Progressive Knockout (PKO) event which had a total prize pool of ₹11,04,000 on offer. The top 63 places made in the money as 331 unique entries, 135 re-entries and 270 rebuys battled it out. The min-cash stood at ₹4,001.

Sukriti Dembla aka ‘Emma Raducanu’ shipped this event for ₹1,78,020. Mystery player ‘Onomatopoeia’ finished second for ₹1,12,240.

  • Buy-in: ₹1,650
  • Places paid: 63
  • Min-cash: ₹4,001
