Asian Poker Tour (APT) is all set to take its next stop at Taipei in Taiwan in the next couple of days. This larger-than-life series is scheduled to begin on 28th April 2023 at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan and will continue until 7th May 2023.
The reason why we call this series larger than life is because of the jaw-dropping guarantee it has on offer. It is offering a whopping $1 Million guarantee at the Main Event. Not to forget, the series has a schedule of a starry 49 events that promise some intense action and drama on the poker felts.
The Asian poker series and venues are turning out to be hotspots for Indian poker players, who are seen marking their attendance at the series in large numbers. The number of Indians attending series like APT and WPT in the past couple of years has seen a considerable spike. Similarly, we can expect several Indian players to grind at APT Taipei 2023 too.
Some of our Indian pros have already arrived in Taipei, while others will fly over the next few days. Here are some pros that we can expect to grind at APT Taipei 2023.
Like always, Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli is the first to arrive in Taipei for the series. He shared an image of the streets after arriving in the city. Tumboli had a blockbuster year in 2022 wherein he shipped a total of five live titles throughout the year, starting with BPT Highroller, WPT Prime Vietnam Hanoi 2023 Hyper Deepstack Turbo, APT Vietnam Hanoi Loyal 2022 PLO, WPT Prime Cambodia PLO, and finally the APPT Cambodia Mini Main Event.
Gamezy Poker pro Nishant Sharma has also flown to Taiwan to grind at the APT Taipei 2023 series. The pro also shared a video of him along with pros Tumboli, Jasven Saigal and Deepak Bothras.
Popular pro Jasven Saigal also revealed his arrival in Taipei through his Instagram stories. Saigal, too, is a regular crusher at these events. Last year he clinched the Superstack event at WPT Prime Cambodia in Phnom Penh, followed by the NLH title at APT Philippines 2022 in Manila. Earlier this year, he also shipped the NLH High Roller at WPC Hanoi.
Poker pro Deepak Bothra will also be seen grinding in Taipei. He was last seen grinding at APT Phu Quoc 2023 last month, wherein he cashed at three events.
Apart from these four, we can also expect other regs and pros like Kunal Patni, Shravan Chhabria, Shardul Parthasarathi, Laksh Pal Singh, Ashish Munot, Dhaval Mudgal, Abhinav Iyer, Vaibhav Sharma, Amit Kaushik and Nikita Luther among others to mark their attendance and keep the Indian flag fluttering high at APT Taipei 2023.
