APT Taipei 2023 Announced With $1 Million GTD Main Event!

Asian Poker Tour (APT) recently announced its Taipei edition. The series will be presented by Natural8. What sets this series apart from others is that this one has a whopping $1 Million on offer for its Main Event. The schedule looks promising and it will be hosted at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan.

APT Taipei Schedule:

APT Taipei 2023 runs from 28th April to 7th May 2023. The 10-day long series has 49 attractive events on the schedule that will feature the NT$50,000 (~$1,700) buy-in Main Event which boasts a NT$30,000,000 (~USD $1 Million) prize pool.

Talking about the series, APT President Neil Johnson said, “APT Taipei will be the biggest poker series in the 15-year history of the Asian Poker Tour,”

It’s indeed a treat for players with bigger bankrolls, as it includes eight high roller events, such as the NT$150,000 Super High Roller – 8 Max with NT$5M GTD and NT$100,000 APT High Roller with NT$4.5M GTD.

Lloyd Fontillas, VP of Live Poker Operations, commented, “The potential for APT has always been clear to me and I’ve been extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished to date. Nonetheless, the sense of ‘never being satisfied’ has been a core value that’s allowed us to thrive and there’s a renewed sense of enthusiasm amid this next evolution of the APT.”

The major highlight of APT Taipei is all set to be held at the newly inaugurated Asia Poker Arena, which is operated by poker room Chinese Texas Poker (CTP).

APT Kickoff (NT$2M GTD): 28th and 29th April with a buy-in of NT$10,000
Mystery Bounty Hunter (NT$3M GTD): 29th to 30th April with a buy-in of NT$16,000
APT Super High Roller – 8 Max (NT$5M GTD): 29th and 30th April with a buy-in of NT$150,000
APT Main Event (NT$30M GTD): 1st to 6th May with NT$50,000 buy-in
Zodiac Classic (NT$3M GTD): 4th to 5th May with a buy-in of NT$20,000
Double Stack (NT$2M GTD): 5th and 6th May with NT$15,000 buy-in
Mini Main Event (NT$1.5M GTD): 6th and 7th May with a buy-in of NT$10,000
APT High Roller (NT$4.5M GTD): 6th and 7h May with a buy-in of NT$100,000
