APT Hanoi 2023: Second Title Of The Series For Kunal Patni

Indian poker pro Kunal Patni seems to be in the shipping mode at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hanoi 2023 happening at the VSOP Club, Hanoi. The pro had earlier shipped Event #36: Hyper Turbo – 8 Max for VND 106,940,000 for his top finish. 

Now he has shipped his second title within just two days. He took down another Hyper Turbo title after shipping Event #41: Hyper Turbo – 8 Max for VND 156,110,000 (₹5,47,694). The event was a VND16,500,000 buy-in event which attracted a total of 29 entries. It had a total prize pool of VND 421,090,000, which was shared by the top four players. The min-cash stood at VND 40,090,000. 

Patni and Vietnam’s Dinh Tien Thanh ended the tourney in a deal and cashed VND 106,940,000 each. He shared the news on his Instagram stories. “Two is better than one,” he wrote, while posing with his two hard-earned trophies.

This is India’s fifth victory at the ongoing APT Hanoi 2023 series. First female pro Nikita Luther shipped the Super Holdem event and pocketed VND 85.37M (₹2,99,558). The second was clinched by Shardul Parthasarathi, who took down the Single Day High Roller for VND 875,615,000 (₹30,63,425). Later, Ritesh Khatwani and Kunal Patni shipped Hyper Turbo and Hyper Turbo – 8 Max titles, respectively, on the same day. Khatwani had cashed VND 53,110,000 (₹1,85,902), while Patni cashed VND 106,940,000 (₹4,12,602).
