Huck Seed Is The New Member Of Poker Hall of Fame 2020

Poker Hall of Fame just announced Huck Seed, the 1996 WSOP Main Event champion, as its inductee for 2020. Seed was chosen from a final list of ten nominees consisting of renowned poker names like Isai Scheinberg, Antonio Esfandiari, Matt Savage, etc. Seed is the 59th poker player inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.

Every year the Poker Hall of Fame inducts two nominees into their ranks but decided to bring it down to just one inductee per year, to increase the prestige of the club.

When Seed got the news of his induction, he was thrilled and commented that it brought back memories of his early poker days. Seed also spoke about his poker sessions at the Binion’s Horseshoe where he would admire the pictures of all the Poker Hall of Fame inductees on the wall. “It feels good to be included with all the poker legends that I once idolized and competed against over the years. Thank you everyone,” Seed said.

This year’s list also saw first time nominee Patrik Antonius make the cut. The nomination process was an open one and had 30 ballots in which voter had 10 points they could distribute. Seed was a known favorite with club members like Daniel Negreanu revealing that he gave all his 10 votes to him.

Here is the final tally of the votes:

1. Huckleberry Seed – 76 Votes
2. Matt Savage – 51 Votes
3. Isai Scheinberg – 45 Votes
4. Eli Elezra – 30 Votes
5. Antonio Esfandiari – 23 Votes
6. Lon McEachern and Norman Chad – 20 Votes
7. Ted Forrest – 20 Votes
8. Mike Matusow – 17 Votes
9. Patrik Antonius – 15 Votes
