Guild Esports Signs Sponsorship Deal With Samsung

Guild Esports backed by David Beckham has signed a deal with Samsung. As per the deal, Samsung will provide monitors and an enriching experience for the Guild esports academy members that was launched in May.

Pro players associated with the Guild, content creators and staff who work behind the scenes will also be given devices from Samsung. LCD displays will now be installed within Guild’s future London headquarters. The deal between the two brands is far more than just monitors as fans are expecting bigger experiences and activities for them.

The monitors will be from the Odyssey range that Samsung recently launched. This range will deliver hyper-real picture quality, a higher response level, tailored ergonomics and an intuitive usability.

Damon Crowhurst, Head of Display at Samsung Electronics UK, said, “Samsung is highly excited to join the Guild Esports family as we look forward to delivering value to the gaming audience. Through this partnership, we show our continued support to gamers and the wider industry offering fans experiences beyond the norm.”

Crowhurst further added, “Historically, we have had a long-standing legacy in esports and we consider Guild to be the perfect partner to continue this in Ireland and the UK.”

This is the first time that Samsung has partnered with an esports company based in the UK. Before this, Samsung partnered with Ninjas Pyjamas and CLG in 2021.

Guild Esports was founded in 2019 and is the first esports brand to be publicly traded in the United Kingdom. In June 2020, the brand raised funds post which football star and celebrity David Beckham became a co-owner of the esports brand. Before the deal with Samsung, Guild Esports partnered with gaming brand HyperX and Subway.

The partnership with Samsung is the second big announcement after the brand launched an online training course with the help of its academy just last month. The academy started with Fortnite and Rocket League; the brand plans to expand into FIFA and Valorant in the coming months.
