Valorant Players Thrilled As ASUS ROG Academy Returns With Season 2


Valorant fans in India now have a reason to rejoice as ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) just announced the return of their academy with Valorant for season two. Registrations for the second season will start on Monday May 3rd and will end on May 10th. A total of 2,350 entries from all over the country registered for the first season alone to be a part of the academy.

Developed and published by Riot Games, Valorant has become one of the top esports titles in India. ROG Academy was started in order to train and mentor gamers that had the potential to become professionals. The academy aims to sharpen their skills and boost their gaming career by providing them with opportunities in the esports industry.

Through the program, gamers are given access to resources, guidance and training under the mentorship of veteran professionals in the community. The ASUS ROG Academy is a one-year program that is divided into four sessions. The curriculum for the upcoming season two was designed in partnership with The Esports Club and AFK Gaming.

The selection process for the academy is extensive and divided into different phases. In the end, six players will be selected to be a part of the three-month long program that is designed to familiarize players with all the aspects of the gameplay. A schedule will be put in place for the selected players to follow. This schedule has been designed keeping in mind each of the players’ skill set.

Mentorship in the academy will be provided by Mansoor ‘Nabu’ Ahmed, Director of The Esports Club and Nikhil ‘Sieh’ Bhansali who is a broadcast analyst and caster with The Esports Club. There will be special classes also and regular guest sessions by some of the top Indian professionals and other industry leaders and experts.

The ASUS ROG Academy season two will end with the selection of the ‘Valorant.’ The panel involved in the selection will be representatives from ASUS ROG, Valorant and their partners. The entire team will be given an ex-gratia of ₹ 1,00,000 once the three month training has been completed successfully. During the three-month training, players will also receive a stipend of ₹ 15,000 monthly. After the training is complete, these six final players will be representing the brand for an additional three months.

To apply for this academy, players will need to be 16 and above. Registration for the academy starts today i.e May 3rd and players have to visit the official ROG website to register.
