Before Crystal Dynamics launched Marvel’s Avengers, there was a lot of excitement about what the game could bring to the table. Following the freemium model, it was intended to be a live service game. Where instead of rolling out new versions, it would roll out updates on the existing material. However, the reception for Marvel’s Avengers was largely negative and was a big letdown for many fans and gamers. The player base reduced significantly after the game failed to roll out faster updates and for the sheer lack of content.
Last December, developers added the character of Kate Bishop to the game’s roster which was the first addition to the game since its release in September. The character along with her Taking Aim storyline infused a bit of much-needed liveliness and got fans talking about it again. Now, Crystal Dynamics just announced the launch of another popular Marvel Character in their upcoming plans.

Hawkeye, one of the original six Avengers, is all set to be welcomed as a key character with his Future Imperfect storyline. Crystal Dynamics has now scheduled a release of a new War-Table video on February 16, to talk about Hawkeye’s entry into the game along with brand-new updates for PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X|S. The character in this version of the Universe is expected to be revealed in the following weeks.
While many are sceptical about whether this move would be enough to revive the dying state of Marvel’s Avengers, there are others who are still hopeful. The introduction of Clint Barton (Hawkeye) and his apprentice, Kate Bishop may not be what many expect it to be. If the new content and upgrades prove to be a success, the live service game might get a new revival of sorts. There is a lot riding on this launch and hopefully, it does not disappoint this time around.
