Hewlett Packard (HP) recently released a new study that reveals 37% of mobile gamers are keen on shifting to PC for a more enhanced gaming experience. The study also revealed that 89% of gamers are of the opinion that PC offers a better gaming experience.
HP conducted a survey in India with 1500 respondents. The survey was carried out during March-April 2021. The respondents were from 25 cities across India, majorly metro cities, Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. The respondents represented the socio-economic classes (SEC) of A1, A2 and A3, and belonged to the 15-40 years age group. All the respondents, 72% males and 28% females, were action and adventure gamers on PCs and smartphones.
The study also highlighted that 84% female respondents were willing to take up a career in gaming, as against 80% of the male respondents. 91% of Gen X respondents were more likely to choose a gaming career compared to 88% of Gen Z. Additionally, 84% respondents in the Tier-2 cities would choose a gaming career in comparison to the 78% respondents from the metro cities.

This is a big opportunity for India to make a mark on the global stage. It also showcases the immense value that a PC device brings with its capabilities.”
The report also brought to light how more than 92% of gamers agreed to the fact that gaming helps reduce stress, work or study pressure and also helps develop positive feelings. 91% believe that gaming helps socialize and make new friends, while a similar number of respondents also said that gaming helps improve attention and concentration.
