ESPL 2021: A Free Fire Tournament by India Today Gaming  

The gaming and esports division of India Today known as ‘India Today Gaming’ announced that it will be hosting Esports Premier League (ESPL) 2021. Gamers and esports professionals will be competing with each other in this multi-city esports tournament. ESPL 2021 is the first tournament that India Today Gaming will be hosting in 2021 which puts an emphasis on staying home.

Along with the announcement, the platform also opened registrations for ESPL 2021 and have shared details like the prize pool, format, schedule, and the entire sign-up process for the tournament. The tournament is centered around the Free Fire battle royale mobile game. The teams who sign up for the competition will then battle each other for the top spot and the prize money.

The teams are given an opportunity to represent one of the eight cities  – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Punjab, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Rajasthan. The tournament is divided into four levels. Look below for the trailer announcement.

For those of you who want to participate in ESPL 2021 will have to form a group of four players, as it is a team-based game. Along with this, teams are also required to have one additional member in case of any emergency. Players will first have to sign-up to India Today Gaming platform and then go to the ESPL platform to initiate the registration process.

To select the top-performing teams, ESPL 2021 will follow a ‘Verses,’ ‘Best of 5.’ And ‘Best of 8’ format. Team will be competing for a large prize pool of ₹25 Lakh and will also receive a trophy to mark their victory. The tournament will commence from 16th June and will end on 29th August 2021.
