FTS 5.0: Sajal Gupta Is The Main Event Winner

The Final Table Series (FTS) 5.0 finally concluded last night amidst much fireworks and high-octane action. The series which began on 27th October drew its curtains yesterday with the conclusion of the Main Event. The ₹2 Crore GTD event was shipped by well-known pro Sajal Gupta.

The Main Event witnessed two starting flights Day 1A and Day 1B, leading to Day 2. A total of 86 entries qualified for Day 2, out of which the top 79 places cashed a min-cash of ₹70,284. The advertised guarantee of the event was crushed as the final prize pool stood at ₹2,06,72,000. 

The heads-up saw Gupta aka ‘GoMuckYourself’ battle it out with Armaan Kochhar aka ‘space ace’ for the top spot. Eventually, Gupta claimed the title and added ₹39,66,956 for his top finish. Kochhar, on the other hand, pocketed ₹24,88,908 for his second-place finish.

Gupta has previously won the Adda52 Millions title in September 2018, where he cashed ₹6,00,000. Additionally, he had also topped the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January leaderboard in the same year, where he took home a Jeep Compass car. He also recently clinched his first-ever Asian Poker Tour (APT) title after shipping the High Rollers Single Day at APT Summer Festival Hanoi 2022 at the Vietnam Series of Poker (VSOP) in July this year.  He won the APT event trophy and VND 335,670,000 (~₹11,44,352) in prize money.

FTS 5.0 was held on three skins Spartan Poker, PokerHigh and BLITZPOKER. The series returned for its fifth edition this time with guarantees bigger than ever before. It had a total of ₹17+ Crore guarantee which included ₹14.46 Crore in tournament guarantees, ₹1.4+ Crore in satellite guarantees, ₹50 Lakh worth of medallions, ₹50 Lakh worth of Game of Tickets, Freeroll tournaments worth ₹8 Lakh, Leaderboard worth ₹50 Lakh, and a Master Table with a guarantee of ₹10 Lakh.

2. Armaan Kochhar – ₹2,488,908.80
3. Pranav Bang – ₹1,781,926.40
4. Sriharsha Doddapaneni – ₹1,389,158.40
5. Vivek Singh – ₹1,089,414.40
6. Anurag Srivastava – ₹855,820.80

A total of 16 winners, including the winners of the 8 PM / 9:30 PM tournaments, 9 PM/10 PM tournaments hosted on 30th October, ₹1.5 Crore GTD Supreme Tournament and the ₹2 Crore GTD Main Event have qualified to play the Master Table which will take place today at 8 PM. The top three finishers will share the prize pool of ₹10 Lakh GTD.
