As the weekend draws closer, many players were setting the online felts ablaze with their skills. High octane action was seen across all poker platforms with many players clinching title spots. Here’s a full report on what went down this Friday.
Spartan Poker’s The Elite event welcomed a total of 376 entries into its fold. This Friday tournament had a buy-in of INR 11,000 and crushed its original guarantee with INR 37,60,000 being the final prize pool. Each of the top 31 places were paid a min-cash of INR 33,088. It was Poker Sports League founder, Pranav Bagai aka ‘Boller’ who shipped the event and took home INR 7,95,240 in winnings. Following him was Nitin Arora aka ‘Demogorgon’ with INR 5,35,424 in prize money
The Ballers event on Adda52 has always been a Friday highlight for poker players on the platform. This week, the tournament was filled with 390 total entries. With a buy-in of INR 7,500 it crushed its advertised guarantee of INR 22.5 Lakh and recorded a mega INR 26,71,501 as the final prize pool. Those who made it to the top 43 places were given a piece of this large prize pool with each taking home a min-cash of INR 14,693. In the title spot was mystery player ‘pokraj’ who pocketed INR 6,62,532 in winnings. He beat player ‘rocky3705’ who became the runner up with INR 4,00,725.
Veteran poker players on PokerBaazi were all charged up as they took part in the brand’s Weekly Highroller event which had a buy-in of INR 11,000. The field had a total of 167 entries fighting for the top spot. Alas! Only the top 21 entries made the money and walked home with a min-cash of INR 18,540. It should also be noted that the initial guarantee for the event was crushed with INR 16,70,000 being the final prize pool. It was online reg and skilled poker pro, Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘ivey2’ that clinched the title spot and walked away with INR 4,15,000. This did not come as a surprise as Doddapaneni is considered a sort of Highroller expert ever since he shipped the Highroller and the Super Highroller in India Online Poker Championship January 2021. Right after him was another poker pro and Gutshot Magazine cover star, Gaurav Sood aka ‘gaug17’ who took home INR 2,91,000 in winnings.
Spartan Poker’s Futuristic event was flooded with players aiming for the top position. The virtual felts for this tournament witnessed a sea of 1,363 total entries. With a buy-in of INR 880, the prize pool of the event was surpassed and the final amount was recorded as INR 10,90,400. The top 119 places were given a min-cash of INR 2,453 with anonymous player ‘MentalScience’ shipping the title and taking home INR 2,05,431 as prize money. Player Pranav Agrawal aka ‘pranav40973’ was the runner up with INR 1,24,959 in winnings.
