Farid Jattin Nails Lucky Hearts Poker Open 2022 Event #1

The 2022 Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) Kick-started on 13th January and we have some big names clinching titles. Event #1: $600 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em was shipped by Farid Jattin for $306,832 as he opted for a heads-up chop with Dustin Nelson who received $297,703 in prize money. 

Jattin is a Colombia native, and the last big title nailed was the 25K Challenge at the 2020 Aussie Millions. The poker champ pocketed $678,831 for that win. LHPO will go on for one more week. The $1 million GTD Deepstack event had 4,960 entrants and after six Day 1 flights, the pot was worth a massive $2,579,200. Right after Jattin and Nelson was Frank Brannan who took the second runner-up position for $175,540. 

Timothy Mulroy took up the 4th position and cashed $141,855 while Steve Bridges took home $113,485 as he finished the game on the 5th position. Some of the other big names that made it to the top in this Deepstack event were Eric Siegel, Aaron Flores, Yoseph Yehudai, and Brandon Lalloo.

The highlight of this two week event is the $3,500 buy-in World Poker Tour LHPO tournament which is scheduled for 21st January. Offering a whopping $2 million in guarantee, this event is surely going to attract the pros. The event was previously shipped twice by Brian Altman, who was the 2019-2021 season Player of the Year (POY). Since the pandemic, Florida has been the destination for poker tournaments as people have been flocking to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. This venue has been hosting several big time, record-breaking events since last year.
