Erique Tan Joins USOP As Vice President Operations

The U Series of Poker (USOP) made an important announcement on its social media handles recently. The live poker brand announced the appointment of Erique Tan as Vice President, Operations.

The Instagram post dated 2nd February 2024 by USOP read, “A hearty welcome to Erique Tan, joining us as the USOP Vice President of Operations. Your professionalism and expertise are sure to propel us towards another stage of success. We look forward to achieving great milestones together as a team. Talking about Tan’s professional experience in the operations field of live poker tournaments, he was associated with brands like World Poker Tour (WPT), Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), Triton Poker Series, Sun City Cup among others from October 2017 to January 2024. Tan comes with extensive experience in the operations department of live poker events and will surely take the poker offerings at USOP to greater heights. 

We asked the newly appointed Vice President of USOP about his role at the Asian poker brand. Tan said, “I’m pretty excited at this opportunity and to take the helm at USOP, they are an established brand that most players in the region are familiar with and have good impressions of.

When there was an opening to head the operations, it was an easy decision on my part. With my experience producing tournaments with international brands, I aim to continue this tradition of excellence and take it to the next level in time to come!”

For those who are not aware, Tan has played live poker across Asian poker series like WPT Prime Taiwan, and APPT Grand Final, Sydney, among others. In January 2024, Tan had been a part of the poker experts to mark the launch of Season XXII of WPT at NagaWorld Resorts alongside Danny McDonagh, Christopher Paul Gros, Senior Operations Manager, NagaWorld.  

With Tan’s appointment at USOP, the brand will definitely leverage his vast experience in the operations space to up the ante with their live poker series offering and more.
