Electronics Arts To Release Battlefield For Mobile And Tablet In 2022

Once upon a time PUBG ruled the gaming industry but later on it got banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act due to the fact that the game engaged in activities that were prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity, defense and security of the country. Post ban of the game, many popular gaming companies decided to launch mobile games to attract the gaming community. With a motive to gain the attention of the gamers, Electronics Arts (EA) has announced the launch of the mobile version of the ‘Battlefield’ series of shooting games. Sources said the new game will be available for tablets and mobiles in 2022.

EA says that the game will be standalone and totally different from what they are making for console and PC. It is known to have been designed specifically for the mobile platform. The ‘Industrial Toys’ team behind the mobile Midnight Star series is working hard with DICE to develop the Battlefield mobile.

While making a statement Oskar Gabrielson, general manager of DICE said that, “It’s being built from the ground up by iToys to make Battlefield-on-the-go a reality and you can expect a fully-fledged, skill-based experience. This mobile game is now entering a testing period ahead of launching next year, so expect more details to come.”

Theory says that the next-generation Battlefield game for PC and console will be given the name ‘Battlefield 6.’ The company revealed that they plan to release the next-generation Battlefield game this holiday season. According to BGR India, the precise timeline has not been announced yet.

EA said that it has a huge development team working on the upcoming Battlefield game for console and PC. The company said, “We’re in a daily playtesting mode, right from polishing to balancing and building together the best possible Battlefield game we can. It’s a bold step we’ve taken and have everything we love about Battlefield, taking all of it to one level higher”.
