DPT Oct 2023: Abhishek Grover Ships Super Holdem Turbo

Abhishek Grover has managed to battle it out against some intense competition to walk away with the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) October 2023 Super Hold’em Turbo title. The poker player found himself as the underdog when he was playing against Shakti Shikhar in heads-up. However, despite trailing the opponent, he not only bridged the gap but also went on to seize the chip lead and there was no looking back for him from there!

Riding on the wave of unyielding momentum, Grover went on to win the Super Hold’em Turbo and pocketed ₹2,09,300 for a top spot finish alongside the trophy. Shikhar, on the other hand, ended up at the runner-up spot and claimed a prize of ₹1.25 Lakh.

The final hand of took place at the Level 21 with blinds set at 20K/30K. Speaking about the deciding hand, Grover boasted Tc Qs 8d, while Shekar held Ah Ac 6h. The board popped out as 8h 3h Qh 7h Qc which saw Shekar hit a flush,. However, Abhishek got a full house and ended up securing the coveted trophy. 

The ongoing DPT October 2023 is being played at the Deltin Royale, Goa and has already seen a  ton of intense poker action so far. The 15th edition of the DPT saw a lot of big names in attendance with mega prize pools being generated this year.

Earlier in the tournament, we saw online and live reg Ritwik Khanna record his first-ever live win and ship the Warm-Up NLH Turbo event for a payday of ₹4,13,289. Prajit Gambhir emerged victorious as the NLH Bounty champion. 

Similarly, a poker player named Anirudh was crowned as the Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) Bounty winner where he grabbed a pay cheque of ₹1.92 Lakh for his first place finish. With some more DPT titles up for grabs, which players can clinch the coveted titles and have their names etched in poker history?
