DOTA 2, CS:GO And eFootball PES Titles Announced At 2021 Esports World Championship

The International Esports Federation (IESF) is pleased to announce that DOTA 2 will be a part of the IESF 13th Esports World Championship to be held at Eilat, Israel. IESF also welcomed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for IESF’s international competition which has been actively taking place since 2009.

DOTA 2, owned by Valve is one of the most popular games played globally. The DOTA Pro Circuit during Valve’s ‘The International’ tournament had crowdfunded prize pools in excess of USD 30 Million. This makes DOTA 2 one of the most lucrative games in esports. Multiplayer first person shooter game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) was developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. This CS:GO, is the fourth edition in the long standing series and is one of the biggest esports titles in the world for two decades.

At the 13th Esports World Championship, the IESF looks forward to seeing the world’s best esports athletes from IEFS member nations. IEFS’s 13th Esports World Championship will be hosted in Eilat, Israel; the city was chosen following the cancellation of the global finals event in 2020. The format of the competition will be similar to that of last year and the World Championship’s regional games will be held online.

Other than CS:GO and DOTA 2, IESF will also host several other competitions. One of the special series will be the KONAMI’s eFootball PES. This comes as a natural choice for International esports competitions as it has a long history of international appeal. The eFootball PES series tournaments were a major point of attraction even during the 11th and 12th Esports World Championship. This game will be played on Playstation 4 during the competition and will make for an exciting part of the international esports competitions.
