The goal in Taboo is to make your teammates guess a word written on the card without saying any of the ‘taboo’ words listed below. The team that can correctly guess the highest number of words within a specific time wins the game. Be prepared to be very creative with how you approach every word. This game is an excellent mood boost and the perfect way to spend time with your near and dear ones.
Chess may look intimidating but it’s actually quiet fun to learn and play. It’s a two-player game where you and your opponent have to maneuver across a 64-square board with 16 pieces. The ultimate goal is to checkmate your opponent’s king piece. Another two-person game, Battleship is a game where players strategically and secretly arrange their ships on a lettered and numbered 10X10 grid. If you get all your opponent’s fleet before they get yours, you win. Overall it’s a thrilling game that will definitely keep your mind occupied.
Scotland Yard is a six-player, family style game. Where one person is a criminal named Mr. X and the remaining are a team of detectives set out to catch him. The board represents the streets of London and players get tokens through which they can maneuver around the city but Mr. X will only reveal his moves periodically. The game requires a lot of teamwork and strategy and is a great way to bond with your family.
Hilarious at every turn, Cards Against Humanity will get you rolling over the floor. The game has black cards consisting of open-ended statements or questions on them and white cards that have a variety of funny, weird and inappropriate words or phrases on them. You may want to refrain from playing this game with your family unless they are cool with all the weird outcomes of the game.
